'Folklore' explore Hadinjoto's Indonesian cultural heritage through traditional batik textile printing merged with contemporary fashion design. Textiles in the collection use the modern technology of laser cutting to create a stencil motif as a substitute of canting. The motif Mega Mendung means good luck, was introduced by Chinese immigrants or Peranakan who have been contributing in Indonesian cultures. This collection also practices a sustainable approach through natural dye techniques used in the of the textiles and zero-waste pattern making for some of the garments within the collection.
