'Comfort Culture' takes inspiration from the conditions of COVID-19 and the increasing trend of comfortwear within the fashion industry. The project emerged from spending time within the home environment, and analysing the emotional attachment we hold with many objects in this space. Using inspiration from the home environment, the project brings inanimate objects, such as the bed, to life by transforming it for the body. In doing so, the project investigates aspects of psychology and physiology highlighting our interrelationship to objects and how cloth has the powerful ability to invoke comfort.
