“get rid of it; I can’t it sparks joy!” is an exploration of our relationship to our everyday objects and what we deem as precious or valuable. The emotional attachment we have to seemingly useless artefacts is often confusing and frustrating. This interrogation is navigated through the mixing of perceived ‘ubiquitous’ and ‘precious’ materials. The pieces reflect visual thought into how one could carry, wear or display items that remind them of a time, place person, or event.
